2025 Leadership Public Lecture, Leadership Excellence Awards, and Appeal Fund for Educational Rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Children in Benue State

The Leadership Institute (Nigeria), in collaboration with the African Leadership Institute, hosted the 2025 Leadership Public Lecture, Leadership Excellence Awards, and an Appeal Fund event on 11 December 2025 at the NAF Conference Centre. The gathering brought together policymakers, diplomats, corporate leaders, civil society actors, and the media to reflect on leadership challenges and celebrate excellence in governance and public service. The keynote public lecture was delivered by Justice Cheryl Grant on the theme “Africa at the Crossroads: Redefining Leadership for Global Relevance,” calling for ethical, accountable, and people-centred leadership across the continent. The programme also featured a high-level panel discussion, the presentation of Leadership Excellence Awards to distinguished Nigerian leaders, and the launch of an Appeal Fund dedicated to restoring educational access for internally displaced children in Benue State affected by banditry. The event concluded with networking sessions and media engagements, reinforcing the Institute’s commitment to promoting ethical leadership, institutional reform, and socially responsive development in Nigeria and across Africa.
